Education/Certification: College degree in science discipline, Food Science or Chemistry preferred. Plusses: PCQI Certification, HACCP Certification, Process Control for Acidified Foods and SQF Practitioner preferred.
Required Knowledge: Requires significant experience in a food production environment. Food safety quality system experience. Knowledgeable of GMP’s, sanitation, SOP’s, Allergen Control, FSMA and HACCP. Good understanding of the science behind process control, chemistry and machinery/processing equipment functioning
.Experience Required: 5+ years of related supervisory experience required. Food background with experience in food quality assurance (additional product development experience is a plus).
Skills/Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong decision making and organizational skills Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel and other computer applications)Solid statistical and math skills as well as problem solving abilities. Ability to work independently.
